“Nurturing my son’s interest in music..........”

Every Sunday morning turns out to be a blissful one for us.  We get transformed to a musical world of the golden era. It is our son, Abhishek on his keyboard playing RD Burman and Kishore Da numbers.  When I see his fingers swaying between the keys and cords playing those rich musical notes, it makes me feel so proud. I still remember those days when his little fingers would struggle to reach the keys.  It is his interest in music and his sincere practice that has helped him learn this

Are you prepared for your child to become a doctor?

On this Republic Day, my 4 year old daughter had a ‘talk on competition’ in her school. The topic was ‘My favourite community helper’. “I want to be an Astronaut” – How to shape your child’s dream into reality

5,4,3,2,1… Blast off!! At age 4 – My little boy loved to play with his rocket and liked to dress up as an astronaut. At age 9- He now enjoys reading about the planets and the universe, gets excited hearing about India’s spacecraft landing on Mars. Engineering the success of our daughter’s dream

Contrary to stereotype, for some reason my daughter, Sitara when she was younger preferred to play with cars. Even her Barbies wore overalls and sat on dumpsters. We laughed it off and called her tom- boyish and hoped that someday she would get over this phase and she would do ‘the girlie stuff.’
