Premium Payment

Overview

Payment with Credit Card over IVR (new)
You can now pay your premium with your credit card (VISA or MasterCard) by calling us on 1800-180-2266 (toll-free) or 0124-270-9046. After selecting your preferred language, choose option 6 from the Main Menu.

If you prefer, you may alternatively speak to our Customer Service Executives who will be glad to assist you with the payment process.
Payment at your nearest Post Office

You can now pay your renewal premium through cash at any of the computerized post offices of India Post.

Note:

  • Please ensure that you carry your premium notice and identification card for making the premium payment.
  • The maximum allowable limit for cash payment in a month is Rs 50,000/-.
  • Receipt of India post with all details will be provided as acknowledgement of the receipt of premium.

Payment through Standing Instructions on your Credit Card

You can pay your premium by giving Standing Instructions on your VISA or Master or Diners Club or American Express Credit Card. Your premium will be debited from your specified credit card account on the premium due date.

To avail of this facility, you need to fill the Credit Card Authorization form and submit it at any of our Branch Offices.

Please Note:
  • The request to change the existing premium mode to Standing Instruction on Credit Card should be submitted at least 15 days prior to the premium due date. In case your next renewal premium payment falls due within next 15 days, you need to pay that premium through available options- cash/cheque/demand draft/online.
  • Your policy should be active (in force) at the time this facility is activated.
  • In case the Premium due date falls on a holiday; the premium will be deducted on the next working day.

Skypak Drop Boxes / Cheque pick-up

Aviva has also tied up with Skypak Financial Services (a Skypak Group Company offering logistical solutions and specialised support services) in select cities...

Skypak Drop boxes are available at each Aviva Branch where you can drop premium instruments (only cheques or drafts).

These Drop-boxes are cleared everyday (except for national holidays and Sundays) and sent for clearance the very next day. To find a Drop Box near you, please refer to the link below.

Cheque pick-up
We also offer the facility for cheque(s) pick-up for the premium payments of Rs 1000/- and more.

You have the option of availing this facility either by making a request over our toll free number, 1800-180-22-66, or by giving instructions at any of our branches.

Note:

Please note that the premium will be adjusted towards the unit allocation on the due date even if it has been received in advance. On receipt of the premium, units shall be allocated as per IRDA Guidelines.

Aviva Branch Offices are the Official Places for Acceptance of Premium/ Transaction Requests for determining Cut off Time for allocation/ surrender of units as per the IRDA Guidelines. In respect of premiums paid by using the Drop Box, Skypak Drop Boxes or Free Cheque Pickup facility, the cut-off time for allocation of units, shall be reckoned from the time the premium is actually received at the Official Places mentioned above.

Electronic Clearance System (ECS)

ECS is a facility by which your Renewal Premium will be automatically debited from your designated bank account on the premium due date. This facility is only available for policies which are INFORCED and where there is no outstanding premium.

We will require at least 30 days to process the request from the day we receive your ECS form along with complete documents at our touch point.

To avail this facility you have to submit the following documents at nearest Aviva Branch at least 15 working days prior to the premium due date:

  • Completely filled and signed ECS mandate.
  • ECS mandate to be verified and certified by the Bank from where premium payment is to be made.
  • One cancelled cheque of the Bank Account mentioned in the ECS mandate.
  • In case your next Renewal Premium payment falls due within the next 30 days:
      • You need to pay that particular premium through cash / cheques.
      • In case your premium payment frequency is monthly and your ECS mandate is not certified from your bank apart from payment of due premium, 1 advance premium cheque would be required.

      In case the Premium due date falls on a holiday; the premium will be deducted on the next working day

      Electronic Bill Presentment Payment

      Logon to your Net banking account and register Aviva Life Insurance as the Biller. Incase your next Premium due date is within 15 working days at the time of registration then this facility will be applicable only from next payment cycle. The renewal premium bill will be available for online payment 7 calendar days before the renewal premium due date. Please be aware that this facility cannot be availed, if ECS/Credit card standing instruction has already opted for as a payment mode.

      Aviva has a tie-up with Bill Desk for this process.

      You can authorize your premium payments through Electronic Bill Payment with Bill Desk at www.billdesk.com . Register yourself at Bill Desk and choose Aviva Life Insurance as a Biller under Insurance category.

      Online Policy Renewal

      You can make online payment of premium anytime and from any location at a click of the mouse by using the online payment facility. This facility is currently offered to all the policyholders to make renewal premium payments and revive their policies through our website.

      To avail this facility, you need to

      • Logon to your Aviva Account
      • Select the policy due for payment
      • Choose payment option and provide your Credit Card/Bank Information for authorization.

      or

      • Select the option of Pay Premium Now on the website.
      • Select the policy due for payment
      • Choose payment option and provide your Credit Card/Bank Information for authorization.

      To initiate the NEFT transfer, you just need to follow the below mentioned steps:
      NEFT through your Net Banking Account:

      1. Select the option of “NEFT Transfer”.
      2. Enter the following details:

      • Beneficiary Account : HBAVIVA followed by your alphanumeric Policy Number*.
        Example:

      • Beneficiary Name : Aviva Life Insurance eCMS account

      NEFT through submission of Physical Form at your Bank branch :

      1. Procure the NEFT Form from the bank.
      2. Mention the following details:

        Beneficiary Account to be entered is : HBAVIVAPPG1234567

      • Beneficiary Name : Aviva Life Insurance eCMS account
      • Bank Name : HDFC Bank Ltd.
      • Branch Name : Sandoz Branch, Mumbai
      • HDFC Account Type: Current Account
      • IFSC Code : HDFC0000240
      • Amount : As per your due premium amount

      Note:

      • *Ensure that the Policy Number entered is correct else your transaction would be rejected.
      • HDFC bank holders would have to use the option of netbanking for online transfer of the premium from their HDFC account, premium cannot be transfered through NEFT.
      • For Unit Linked Policies, the NAV would be allocated in accordance with the date and time of receipt of fund along with the information by us. For the funds & information received after 3:00 PM or on Saturday, Sunday, any public holiday, the NAV for the next working day shall be applicable.
      • For lapsed/paid up policies the risk shall resume upon completion of the reinstatement requirements and not upon the receipt of premium.
      • For every successful NEFT transaction, your bank will provide a UTR number (Unique Transaction Reference No.). For any query related to NEFT transaction, please mention the UTR number of that transaction.
